Description 

Melody Lain is a platformer and visual novel mix that follows Willow as she ventures through a familiar old mansion, recovering memories she’s not sure if she should forget…

This game has one ending, with a score rating out of five at the end, and takes about ten minutes to beat.

Objectives 

• Collect ghosts! 
• Run around, climb, or push objects to explore the house!
• Get the highest score you can!

Controls 

Move	Interact	Jump	Pause game
WASD*	E	Space	Esc

*NOTE: this game uses tank controls. This means that A and D will rotate your character in a direction, while W will always walk forward and S will always walk backward.

About the Game Development 

This game was crafted in a month or so as the final project for an Intro to Game Development class. I drafted the level design on paper, used Procreate to draw the UI, and worked in Maya to create 3D environments and assets. Next, I learned Blueprints to give the levels more life. I crafted Willow’s character model and rig in Maya, with animations retargeted from the UE5 mannequin.
